Transportation to the Conference
If you arrive at Brisbane Airport, you can travel by bus to the Gold Coast. Read more about the bus services from the airport here.
If you stay at QT Gold Coast (conference hotel), you can easily travel from the hotel to Griffith Gold Coast campus (conference venue). Read more about the Gold Coast Light Rail service here and timetables here.
Included in the ACERE lanyards, each delegate will be given a travel card on arrival, which can be used on all TransLink buses, trains, the tram and ferry network in South East Queensland, excluding AirTrain. Each travel card is a 4-day pass and you will be provided with a “mini user guide”. The number of trips per day is unlimited for delegates and each day can be used non consecutively. It is not possible to add extra credit to the provided travel card but please contact the conference organisers during the conference if you wish to purchase additional cards for any family members during the conference. The travel card will expire two days after the conference or once all travel days have been used whichever occurs first.
TransLink coordinates and integrates public transport services in South East Queensland. Please visit the TransLink website here if you wish to access an online journey planner for your stay and wish to plan your trip to chosen destinations. TransLink also offers Gold Coast go explore, which is an electronic ticket offering visitors unlimited travel on any TransLink bus or tram service on the Gold Coast for $10 a day and $5 for children.
Taxis are frequently available in both Brisbane and the Gold Coast if this is a preferred transportation form. Please visit the Department of Transport and Main Roads website for more information. Visit and the Yellow Pages website here for a list of taxi service providers.
QT Gold Coast:
The conference hotel is easily accessible with public transport (bus and the light rail). There is also a Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle that you can book online here (this is approximately $21 per adult to get from Gold Coast Airport, direct to QT). Alternatively, if you have a number of guests arriving at once and wanted to arrange a private service for them, the hotel recommends Aries Tours.

Do you have an accepted abstract or full paper and have not registered to attend the conference?
Currently we have a number of accepted abstracts and full papers that could be included in the conference program where the submitting author (or a delegate) has not registered for the conference.
These abstracts and full papers cannot be included in the program until registration of the submitting author (or presenting delegate) is completed.
If you have an accepted abstract or full paper and have not yet registered but would like to attend to present your paper please contact firstname.lastname@example.org as a matter of absolute urgency. Alternatively, please complete your registration now.
The draft program is currently being put together and at this stage we can only include abstracts and full papers where the author (or a presenting delegate) is registered.
