FAQ’s & MORE

November 6, 2013 by karen

The contributions for the 2014 ACERE Conference has been outstanding.  With the full paper submission deadline for papers to be eligible for awards and peer review, passing on midnight on Monday 4th November, the standard of contributions is certainly exciting.

Don’t worry if you didn’t make the 4th November deadline!  If your abstract has previously been accepted for the Conference, you still have until midnight AEST Tuesday 31st December to submit your full paper for inclusion in the Conference.  It won’t of course, be eligible for awards, nor will there be time for it to be double blind peer reviewed, but you will still be able to present your paper and have it included in the conference proceedings.

With the early bird registrations also closing on 4th November, registrations have been strong and steady with registrants coming from all over the world to participate in the 2014 ACERE Conference.  The addition of Johan Wiklund, Professor of Entrepreneurship at Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University, USA and Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden as a panellist has also generated much excitement.  The panellists will serve as reviewers (in writing) and face-to-face discussants/chairs of the papers selected for ACERE “Paper Development Sessions”.  Moreover, the Conference will feature Alain Fayolle and Suresh Kumar as organizers of special workshop sessions on Entrepreneurship Education and Bridging the Academy-practitioner gap.   Click here to see all panelist information.

We have also added a new page to answer all your frequently asked question.  Visit the FAQ page and we will add more answers as the questions are raised.  If you have a specific question, email acereconference@qut.edu.au for answers.

Testimonials

In ACERE, you get a chance to have a chat with many top scholars in the entrepreneurship field. Perfect for networking opportunities!
Forough Zarea Fazlelahi
I gained a great deal from this session, particularly the need to properly frame the paper (and any paper), and ways to link my research to the theory. In addition, the discussion helped me to work out a “template” that I can apply to a number of research ideas that I have vaguely been thinking about. This was a really valuable session for me, and it helped me to finish the conference on a very high note.
Peter Balan, University, South AustraliaAUSTRALIA
