This prestigious conference has a rich history of fostering academic exchange, advancing knowledge, and shaping innovation policy and practice in the field of entrepreneurship. It has supported the very substantial growth, quality and impact of Australasian scholarship for more than 20 years.
The journey of the ACERE conference began 21 years ago under the visionary leadership of Murray Gillin (the conference formerly named AGSE), with a mission to connect entrepreneurship scholars and advance their impact. Initially organised by Swinburne University, the conference later found a new home at QUT. Under the stewardship of Per Davidsson, it evolved into a globally recognized event known for nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurship scholars by linking them with leading experts worldwide. We are thrilled to announce that the ACERE conference will now serve as the flagship event for the newly established Australasian Consortium for Entrepreneurship Research Excellence (ACERE).
The conference attracts approximately 150 scholars each year, with participation from around the globe. For example, in 2024, we had attendees from 34 countries in Asia, Europe, North and South America, and Africa.
The conference is widely known as a developmental conference, with activities to support the development of both research and education of academics at all stages of their careers. The conference features:
